The Kids Corner grant program is at the heart of everything we do, and since Kids Corner was started in 2011, the board of directors has provided more than $50,000 in grants to support youth enrichment and activities.

 

We’ve helped dozens of teachers add fun new curriculum to their classrooms, helped new teachers with small grants to prepare for their first day of school, and helped school libraries add valuable technology. We’ve helped kids get moving with a number of grants for sports programs, field trips, and outdoor adventures, and Kids Corner is a regular sponsor of scholarships for the Red Lodge Mountain learn-to-ski program and the Red Lodge School of Dance. Kids Corner is a proud supporter of youth mentorship programs, and nutrition programs that provide needy children with ready-to-go meals on weekends and during the summer months.

 

One of our primary beneficiaries is the Beartooth Children’s Center, a licensed childcare facility in Red Lodge that strives to provide affordable, high-quality early childhood programming for children 2 to 4 years old and before/after school care to children kindergarten to the third grade.

 

Grant Guidelines

 

The mission of the Kids Corner grant program is to help local organizations meet the basic needs or enrichment needs of youth in Carbon County. Organizations that provide programming and support for children are encouraged to apply for a grant up to $600.

 

Grant applications for $250 or less can be considered immediately and are usually answered within a few days. Grant requests for between $250 and $600 will be reviewed at designated board meetings, and could take a couple months to answer.
